Description:

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff.

Experience and/or Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or comparable experience).
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in ETL design, development, and support, including creating workflows to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources. Must demonstrate ability to optimize ETL processes for performance, maintain data integrity, troubleshoot ETL failures, and resolve integration issues.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with ETL tools, including a minimum of two (2) years with SSIS for ETL development and support.
  • Ten (10) years of experience doing development, system integration, and application administration.
  • Five (5) of those years must be supporting MicroStrategy deployment(s).
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage prior experience to ramp up quickly and add measurable value within 3–6 months, particularly in ETL-driven and data integration initiatives.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability (KSA) and Competency Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in ETL design and development, including data integration from multiple sources.
  • Ability to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, including administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to design logical and physical data models.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Strong writing skills and comfort working with customers.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance and oversight.
  • Experience with Windows Server or similar technologies.
  • Experience with web development or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing for accounting or financial data and processes.
  • Experience developing in the MicroStrategy application from start to finish, including:
    • MicroStrategy software development kit (SDK), including customizing analytical applications and portal integration.
    • Reporting skills, including data and style manipulations in Desktop, OLAP Services, Report Objects, Advanced Filters, Advanced Metrics, Prompts and Searches, Intelligent Cubes, Derived Elements, and Dashboards.
