This position is located in the Kansas City VA Medical Center Medical Supply Distribution (MSD) areas of the Logistics Service and supported catchment area. The primary purpose of the position is to ensure that supplies and material are distributed to all areas serviced by Logistics.Requirements:
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the following:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level in the Federal service that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position. Qualifying specialized experience includes: providing supplies and material to clinical and administrative areas of a complex health care facility; scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing and distributing medical and surgical supplies, instruments and other material; pulling stock, replenishing stock and maintaining records on stock levels; monitoring expiration dates; cleaning assigned areas in accordance with regulations and policy; utilizing an automated system to maintain inventory; and answering customer questions regarding supplies and materials.

EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED): Successfully completed 4 years above high school in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education was obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

COMBINATION (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED): Possess an equivalent combination of specialized experience and post high school education as described above that demonstrates my ability to perform the duties of this position. Only only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable towards meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
