You will serve as an INFORMATION SECURITY PROGRAM MANAGER in the SECURITY OFFICE of NSWC PHILA DIV.This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13, Step 10 (currently $152,471).
The Secretary of War has ordered a hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoW hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods for information security functions and activities, such as delegation and exercise of classification and declassification authority; document marking, safeguarding, and use; personnel access controls and need-to-know criteria; physical storage and facility controls; security education and training; and transmitting, transferring, reproducing, downgrading, and destroying sensitive information.
- Applying knowledge of proper procedures to safeguard and handle Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in compliance with regulations and related directives.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
