Description:
This position is assigned to the Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) Chief Information Officer (N6), NAF Systems Division (N6Q); Commander, Navy Installation Command, Millington, TN. Incumbent is responsible for the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and management of networked systems, to include leading the evaluation, analysis, configuration, and delivery of network and/or system administration.Requirements:

- Knowledge of and skill in applying network design principles and concepts.
- Knowledge of configuration management concepts and practices.
- Knowledge of network topology concepts.
- Knowledge of network development principles and methods sufficient to develop and implement configuration management plans for complex, global networks.
- Knowledge of network administrator role and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of optimal and secure configuration of switches, routers, firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and other networking equipment.
- Knowledge of enterprise networks sufficient to develop requirements for the acquisition of network hardware, software, and services.
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems sufficient to administer and maintain various types of servers
- Knowledge of Citrix, Virtual Machine, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, or similar environments sufficient to administer and maintain these platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud-based environments including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS service models.
- Knowledge of virtual environments, to include hypervisors, SANs, Blades, and Hyper- converged systems
- Skill in monitoring network and/or server performance.
- Skill in analyzing network traffic patterns.
- Skill in installing network and/or software fixes and upgrades .
- Skill in analyzing/evaluating data and preparing reports.
- Ability to serve as network administrator.
- Ability to perform network diagnostics.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
