THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM MANAGER (MISSION SUPPORT OFFICER) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1642P01 and is part of the IL 126, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION : The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), the only area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
Military Grades : Minimum Rank O5 - Maximum Rank O6
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : MUST possess experience, education, or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations; supervisory, managerial, professional, or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques; experience using computer and automation systems.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-14 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13 Level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-14 Level MUST possess at least 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level of GS-13; specialized experience analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources; must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures; experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.
SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE : MUST possess supervisory experience which includes experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
