This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), in Organizational Delivery and Performance (TOII), Internal Operations Management Office (TOI), System Operations (TO), Transmission Services (T).A successful candidate in the Reliability Standards Owner position will serve as the technical lead and expert analyst responsible for planning, organizing, conducting, and leading the TO NERC/ WECC reliability standards effort.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Applying a wide range of concepts, laws, policies, principles, practices, regulations, and precedents associated with NERC, and WECC reliability compliance sufficient to 1) manage aspects of compliance actions, issues or problems regarding NERC, FERC and WECC reliability, and 2) provide advisory services for strategic planning and implementation of audits, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
