SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 5)

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5807200 and is part of the IL DOL, National Guard.

Requirements:

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 5 Excepted Service, will be in the following manner and sequence:

• The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be candidates who match through the Priority Placement Program (PPP).
• The SECOND area of consideration will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : MUJST possess experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 Level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-12 Level MUST possess at least 1-year equivalent to the next lower grade level of GS-11; at least 1 year of experience, education, or training which included: 1. identifying activities involving logistical support operations; 2. integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; 3. monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan; 4. identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.

SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE : MUST possess supervisory experience that includes experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
