You will serve as a PAINTER LEADER in the PRODUCTION LINES DERPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.Requirements:

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE
1) Utilizing chemical, mechanical, and sonic methods to clean, prepare, coat, and electroplate aircraft, missile, and engine components, using various chemical solutions and abrasive grits; 2) Removing metal and non-metal surfaces using sandblasting equipment and perform preventive maintenance on the sandblasting equipment; 3) Ensuring proper coating application and removal methods and operations are performed on various aircraft components; 4) Examining, evaluating, preparing and applying protective and decorative coatings and painting finishes to aircraft components, engines components, GSE and other major components; 5)Painting insignias, lettering and designs on selected components; 6) Applying decalcomania transfers and stencils to identify or decorate aircraft, engine, and GSE components; 7) Ensures all aircraft, engine, and miscellaneous components meet stringent quality standards by performing in-process and final inspections of cleaning and preparation work involving chemical, mechanical, and sonic method.
