Operations Assistant

Description:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to Outdoor Recreation at JBSA Randolph AFB.

This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hrs/wk. May work up to 40 hrs/wk. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
General experience in inventory control, funds accountability, and budgeting is required. Must have experience with computer and associated software such as Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel. Applicant must have experience of progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical or other work which had provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices, or progressively responsible experience in one or more of the functions of a Community Center/Mall.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): You qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
2. Knowledge of customer service.
3. Knowledge of cash handling/be able to make change.
4. Knowledge of Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) accounting and systems (NAFRIS, SETS, IBPS, ABSS).
5. Must have knowledge and experience in financial management and budgeting.
