This position is assigned to Commander Navy Installation Command (CNIC), Fleet and Family Readiness Department (N9), Family Readiness Division (N91), Work and Family Life Branch (N911). Incumbent serves as the Work and Family Life Coordinator. The position also plans, manages, coordinates, implements, and evaluates training, education, and outreach for Work & Family Life (WFL) Programs for Washington Navy Yard.Requirements:

- A master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a degree appropriate to the position; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR Two (2) years of specialized experience in planning, managing, coordinating and/or implementing outreach for Personal and Family Life Readiness (Mind-Body Mental Fitness) or Quality of Life Programs, such as Life Skills Education, Personal Financial Management, Relocation Assistance, Transition Assistance, Employment Assistance, Ombudsman Program, and Exceptional Family Member Program; OR A combination of education and experience that provided knowledge equivalent to a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Navy organization, mission, lifestyle, language, customs, and culture and skill in applying analytical methods and techniques to evaluate the customer base and identify WFL needs, trends and performance measures and to evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of Family Readiness and its mission and programs and practical knowledge of education and training delivery methods, practices, processes and techniques to collaborate with staff on implementing QOL and WFL trainings and workshops.
- Practical knowledge of and skill in applying professional verbal and written communication methods and techniques to network and collaborate with diverse groups, organizations, military services, and civilian agencies; deliver WFL evidence-based training/education to various audiences; compose clear, concise, and effective reports and documents; and establish and maintain professional relationships with management, staff and personnel at multiple echelons.
- Skill in conducting client interviews to establish the nature and extent of concerns and issues, to assist with the development of client goals and plans, and to determine appropriate referral services and options to meet client needs.
- Skill in using various computer software databases, spreadsheet, and word processing programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to maintain automated files, references, and instructions; distribue information and develop marketing materials.
