The Northern District of Alabama is currently seeking one attorney for a permanent Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) position in our Civil Division.This position is located in the main office in Birmingham. Birmingham is an area of rolling hills, beautiful lakes, downtown lofts, evening concerts in the park, nationally ranked restaurants, and an amusement and theme park.
As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement.

The ideal candidate will be someone with prior civil litigative experience with a desire for public service and living in the Northern District of Alabama. Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Prior civil litigative experience
- The ability to work in a supportive and professional team environment with client agencies, support staff and other attorneys, and a demonstrated commitment to public service
