Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element) : Ability to do the work of a(n) ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform common Inspector duties of troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and electronic control systems. Ability to make final repairs and correcting defects on electrical and electronic control systems under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- Physical Effort: Work involves long periods of sitting, standing, bending, and working in cramped and awkward positions. Frequently handles objects weighing from 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally heavier.
- Working Conditions: Work is usually performed in well-lighted, heated and ventilated areas; occasionally work outside. Is exposed to the possibility of cuts, bruises, scrapes, broken bones, shocks and burns. Follows prescribed safety practices and uses safety equipment.
