THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a Security Specialist (Training Specialist) (Title 32) (Indefinite), Position Description Number D2161000 and is part of the VA192 FSS, National Guard.

WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E1/AB - E7/MSgt) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Member Enlisted Member (E1/AB - E7/MSgt), regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
M ilitary Grades : Enlisted Personnel(E1/AB - E7/MSgt)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Applicant must have experience serving as the subject matter expert in managing the SF Squadron program to include Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) deployments, formal training programs, and readiness and emergency management.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
- Experience reviewing all operations, mobility, contingency, and exercise plans to ensure combat readiness.
- Experience being responsible for proper security, classification, and storage of classified documents.
- Experience overseeing the coordination, review, and implementation of manning authorizations and military personnel assignments.
- Experience serving as the SF commander's key staff member responsible for the overall management of the unit-training program by overseeing the planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating all unit training related items.
