Description:

This position will be assigned to the Club on Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana.

The purpose of this position is to mix and serve pre-mixed alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from limited service bar.

This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hrs. May work up to 40 hrs./wk. Scheduled as needed. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
  • Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages.
  • Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures.
  • Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.
