- Applicant must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment.
- Applicants must have and retain valid driver's license.
- May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit.
- Must have knowledge of tractor and equipment operating characteristics such as tractor gears, power ratios, braking and turning capacities, and equipment power requirements, capacities and operating speeds.
- Must be able to manipulate the tractor and equipment controls at the same time.
