Description:
This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the direct senior representative of the US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Commander to the National Security Agency (NSA) Central Security Services (CSS)/Directorate of Cyber Security (DCS)/Integrated Cyber Center (ICC), in the National Cybersecurity Threat Operations Center (NCTOC) Fort Meade, Maryland. This position is mostly focused on defensive cyber operations.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
- Developing goals and objectives that integrate organization and cyberspace operations objectives.
- Advising NSA's senior experts regarding the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).
- Serving as a senior advisor on cyber impacts to the deployment and distribution coordination process.
- Advising on a wide range of defensive cyberspace operations, transportation operations, logistics, planning, readiness, and transportation management program theories, concepts, and practices
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
