This position is vital within the Office of Research and Development (ORD) and the facilities where research programs are conducted. This position is located at the VA Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.Requirements:
To qualify for this position you must meet the following requirements.At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-9) in the Federal Service that has given me the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties this position. Specialized experience includes maintaining a budget and overseeing the budget functions such as tracking obligations and expenditures; analyzing and formulating annual budgets; monitoring control point expenditures; utilizing databases and information systems to compute and analyze data.

Substitution of Education for Experience: . Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to do the work of this position, such as a degree in business, finance or accounting, if related. NOTE: If you select this option, you must submit a copy of your transcript with your application. Education cannot be credited without documentation.
OR
Combination of Education & Experience: . Equivalent combinations of successfully completed progressively higher-level graduate education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience, as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. The education portion must include graduate courses that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. NOTE: If you select this option, you must submit a copy of your transcript with your application. Education cannot be credited without documentation.
