Description:

The primary purpose of the position is to operate one or more motor vehicles, which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

  • Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
  • Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles)
  • Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)
  • Ability To Operate Safely (Non-Motor Vehicle)
  • Operation of Motor Vehicles
  • Reliability and Dependability as a Motor Vehicle Operator
  • Vehicle Operation
  • Work Practices (including keeping things neat, clean, and in order)


SCREEN OUT :
Minimum Qualification: Have experience that demonstrates the ability to perform work as a motor vehicle operator and assist journey-level, or other higher graded workers; Experience includes work such as operating gasoline or diesel-powered heavy equipment, the use of motor vehicles of a gross vehicle weight up to 26,000 pounds transport material to and from the work site. Have experience using equipment and building maintenance and trail and road repair projects. Work is spot-checked by supervisor and evaluated for quality and neatness.

Driver's License: Possess a Driver's License or able to obtain one before entry on duty.
