You will serve as a ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the PIPE SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE:
- Ability to perform oversight, coaching and mentoring of Mechanical, Electrician, and Electronic Industrial Controls mechanics during the performance of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and other types of work orders.
- Using the Electronic Facilities and Equipment Maintenance application (eFEM) for the execution of maintenance work orders.
- Understanding the trade of a fully qualified Electronics Industrial Controls Mechanic (EICM).
- Resolving working problems and taking necessary corrective action to overcome such delays as bottlenecks, equipment breakdown and material shortages.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
