Description:

You will serve as a ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the PIPE SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE:
  • Ability to perform oversight, coaching and mentoring of Mechanical, Electrician, and Electronic Industrial Controls mechanics during the performance of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and other types of work orders.
  • Using the Electronic Facilities and Equipment Maintenance application (eFEM) for the execution of maintenance work orders.
  • Understanding the trade of a fully qualified Electronics Industrial Controls Mechanic (EICM).
  • Resolving working problems and taking necessary corrective action to overcome such delays as bottlenecks, equipment breakdown and material shortages.
