Description:
As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as a Front Line Manager (Operations Supervisor).
Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12, CPC level. Applicants must have specialized experience in an air traffic facility which demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the level of work of the advertised position. This experience must have provided a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control laws, rules and regulations. Such experience is typically demonstrated by accomplishment of assignments of the difficulty and responsibility described in the position classification standard used to evaluate positions at the next lower grade/pay band level (FV-H, FG/GS-12, CPC).
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Qualified candidates must meet the following Selective Placement Factor as determined by responses to the “Other Factors”:
Do you currently hold or have you ever held an FSS facility rating issued by the Federal Aviation Administration while employed at a Federal FSS facility?
Applicants must be facility rated or previously have held a facility rating in a Flight Service Station (FSS). Applicants must indicate on their application package that they have held or currently have this rating. Applicants may be deemed ineligible if this is not clearly stated in your application package.
