You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER/SUPERVISORY HEALTH PHYSICIST in the RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PLANNING DIVISION, RADIOLOGICAL CONTROLL OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
GS-0840-13 OR GS-1306-13In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience analyzing emergency management needs, identifying specific problems or issues, evaluating alternatives, and developing recommendations for changes or resolutions.
* Experience with reactor plant, nuclear ship design, instrumentation, operating characteristics and casualty procedures.
* Experience interpreting and applying policies, regulations, directives, instructions, and procedures governing emergency management and safety.
* Experience enforcing NAVSEA guidelines, local shipyard practices, and requirements of Radiological Emergency Planning Division.
