This position is located in the Region V, Mission Support Division (MSD). In this position you will review and implement security policies, standards and procedures ensuring that both unclassified and classified information is afforded appropriate protection in accordance with regulations.

The ideal candidate for this position will have exceptional customer service skills coupled with experience fingerprinting employees, issuing employee ID badges, and training staff on security awareness.

Requirements:

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
  1. Managing classified information and maintaining access control systems and accountability by following established regulations, guidance and procedures; AND
  2. Processing Fingerprints and issuing employee identification badges or passes; AND
  3. Maintaining comprehensives and ongoing security trainings and awareness programs.

Education

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related

OR

Combination of education and experience
