This position may be filled using Direct Hire Authority: Z5CAV/Direct-Hire Authority (Certain DoD Personnel) PL 118-31, Sec 125OB (i)(2), 12/22/2023.This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated August 12,2024.
This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS 15 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
- Demonstrated expertise in Cybersecurity principles, concepts, methods, standards and technical skills necessary for practical application to secure the agency's cyber operational environment and defend the DoDIN.
- Supervising or Leading subordinates and/or cybersecurity personnel responsible for overseeing computer network defense and conducting technical security assessment of information technology (IT) systems and projects through information gathering and use of IT security tools.
- Overseeing and managing subject matter experts; providing technical security guidance to system owners for system change requests and engineering projects and communicates security information to senior leadership and agency officials; developing security policies, standard operating procedures, and implementation plans.
