Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR ~ without more than normal supervision.
Ability to perform common duties such as driver's maintenance in accordance with established regulations and loading and unloading of passengers and cargo. Complete vehicle utilization records and driver's accident report when necessary. Work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

  • PHYSICAL EFFORT: Moderate physical effort is utilized in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls of loaded vehicles weighing up to 1,900 pounds. Moderate physical effort is required in lifting, loading and unloading cargo. Receives assistance from other ware houseman, laborers, and equipment operators when moving items over 25 pounds. Required to work inside warehouse, in bin rooms, in open storage areas, and on receiving or shipping docks.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to cold, drafty, damp or hot weather while loading and unloading vehicle. Subject to possible injury from falling stock. Subject to bruises and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving vehicles.
