You will serve as a MOTOR VESSEL CAPTAIN in the PORT OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA.Requirements:

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION Ability to work independently, make decisions, plan operations, show job responsibility, and exercise initiative:1) Operating and navigating a small craft through traffic, applying practices and principles of vessel navigation and "Rules of the Road", 2) Responsible for tug makeup and line handling; 2) Maintaining equipment and/or operating logs to ensure proper usage; and 3) Interpreting requirements of local piers, docks, shipyards, and vessels (aircraft carriers, submarines, barges, other craft) for the servicing area of Port Operations.
