THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1975000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
Requirements:
Military Grades : E-2 to E-5
Compatible Military Assignments : 2S0X1
* Must be willing and able to cross train into the compatible AFSC
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Musthave at least, 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade that has allowed you to demonstrate the ability researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements. Knowledge of stock levels, inventory, shipping, receiving, requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply management, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Demonstrated experience with cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities.
Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary and requires no special demands. However, work does involve long periods of time reviewing listings/reports that can be strenuous on the eyes and inventories may involve assistance in lifting heavy items.
Work Environment: Work is performed in a typical office setting with normal risks and discomforts. Visits to warehouse areas and maintenance activities subject the employee to forklift/vehicle traffic, dirt, chemicals, and noise.
