LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.

Requirements:

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:

• Serving as a senior advisor on the development and refinement of long-range transportation and logistics strategies supporting the Defense Transportation System (DTS) and the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).
• Incorporating logistics requirements and concepts applicable to air, sea, and surface transportation in program plans, policies, and funding.
• Articulating processes, programs, procedures, and policy positions clearly and concisely in written and oral communication to senior leaders at the GO/FO/SES level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
