The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of carpentry trade work that requires intermediate level skills to help construct, alter, maintain, and repair wooden buildings, structures, cabins, ships, boats, docks, boardwalks, bridges, floors, decks, handrails, fences, signs, partitions, panels, and/or other items made of wood, wood substitutes, and composite building materials.Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:- Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
- Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints)
- Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
- Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
- Knowledge of materials
- Measurement and Layout
- Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
SCREEN OUT: The ability to perform common Carpentry Worker duties associated with more than one trade area (such as carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, building maintenance and other trades appropriate to this position) without more than normal supervision. You must have the ability to take initiative to solve problems; accomplish work assignments in a safe manner; and have used and maintained a variety of tools, and equipment in a safe manner. Tasks assignments are inspected upon completion by my work leader or supervisor for conformance to requirements.
