As a Physical Security Specialist, you will be responsible for the policy, procedures, and daily operations of the badging office at Marshall Space Flight Center and Michoud Assembly Facility and will oversee contractor operations for the Center's protective services contract. You will work with a team of highly-skilled Physical Security Specialists and will interact daily with external partners and agencies.Requirements:
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
- Providing oversight of a physical security program (e.g., Visitor Management and Access) to secure facilities, personnel, classified information, or other sensitive materials/resources;
- Performing site security reviews to ensure facilities meet physical security requirements that detect, deter, or neutralize threats involving unauthorized disclosure, sabotage, or vandalism activities; and
- Analyzing policies, processes, or operations to provide recommendations for enhancements, improvements, or modifications that may improve security posture.
