This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.About the Position: Position serves as the full Deputy for the Chief of Police on Ft. Leavenworth, KS with responsibility for apprehending and investigating suspects.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) formulating long range plans for law enforcement/police operations such as police/traffic patrols or criminal investigations and (2) identifying problem areas in law enforcement/police operations and recommending solutions to correct deficiencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level or equivalent position in the federal service (GS-10).
