Description:

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Survivability and Weapons Effect Division of CARDEROCK DIV NS.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band is equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 (GS-12/13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer leading a team through developing long-range plans, setting priorities and organizing resources in the areas of platform survivability and weapon effects; should have experience in testing and evaluation of submarines and surface ships related to survivability and weapon effects in the areas of modeling and simulation; at-sea and land-based methods for experimental testing of scale models, unique test vehicles, and operational ships; and data acquisition, data processing, and data analysis procedures; and experience in Navy shock qualification processes, shock hardening processes, design for damage tolerance, advance protection concepts, armor, fire resistance and detection systems, and damage control.
