Description:

These positions are located in Badlands National Park. The primary purpose of this position is to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, upgrade, repair, and calibrate a variety of utility systems that require fully developed or journey level skills. The utility equipment and systems maintained at this level involve moderately complex maintenance requirements and fully developed journey level skills

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
  1. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
  2. Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
  3. Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
  4. Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
  5. Knowledge of materials
  6. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
  7. Use of Measuring Instruments
SCREEN OUT: Ability to perform the most difficult and complex utility systems repairer-operator duties as an expert with a high degree of independence. Experience includes the operation and maintenance of a water treatment facility, wastewater treatment facility, or a major utility system related to water and wastewater production and treatment. Can perform day to day activities for process control, lab testing, repairs, and preventative maintenance without assistance. Familiar with the monitoring requirements for potable water. Led or supervised other workers in the performance of their work in this area.
