AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE NON- BARGAINING UNIT POSITION.

This National Guard position is for an Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor, Position Description Number D0735000, and is part of the Montana Army National Guard, AASF. (A copy of the Position Description can be obtained from HRO upon request.)

Requirements:

MILITARY GRADES :
Enlisted E7 - E9;
Warrant WO1 - CW2 (this position is restricted to qualified Warrant Officers in 151 Maintenance series or 153/154 Maintenance Test Pilot series only)


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, applicants must have experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.


SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS :

1. Must have 15 years of aircraft maintenance experience.

2. Must currently be qualified or previously have 5 years of qualified experience as an Aircraft Technical Inspector.

3. Must be able to describe experience in aircraft maintenance management (i.e. scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, flow chart management, calibration management, readiness reporting standards, Class IX management experience, SOP and regulatory standards governing aircraft maintenance operations, and flight scheduling in support of FHP).

4. IF APPLYING AS A WARRANT OFFICER - Any Warrant Officer assigned as a supervisor within the AASF maintenance environment must be a qualified Aviation Warrant Officer (Aviation Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Test Pilot)
