Description:

You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Information Systems) in the Civilian Workforce Policy & Sustainment Division (N11), Recruit/Staffing & CIVMAR Processing Branch (N11B), Marine Processing (N11B3), Total Force Management Program Office (N1) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience applying HR processing rules, procedures and operations in an HR automated system sufficient to process a full range of recruitment methods and pay changes.
  • Experience utilizing various computer data systems such as Microsoft Office, Access, and Defense Civilian Personnel Data (DCPDS) as well as other information system tools.
  • Experience utilizing personnel various personnel methods, regulations, principles, and concepts and understanding how each relates to processing personnel actions and resolving discrepancies within the employee's electronic record.
  • Experience ensuring accuracy of information to be contained in personnel actions as obtained from the employee, records, guides, etc. (appropriate pay, name, date of birth, veterans' preference, social security number, military information, etc.).
  • Experience consolidating service records with prior service records, establishing and/or maintaining eOPF's including tracking, updating and purging separations from the service records an uploading material from personnel actions.
