THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIR CARGO SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1965000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
Requirements:
Military Grades : E-5 through E-7
Compatible Military Assignments: 2T2X1
* Must be willing and able to cross train into the compatible AFSC
Note: AFECD 31 Oct 2024 limits cross train ability into 2T2X1: 3.5.3.2. Retraining into the 2T2XX career field within the Air Force Reserve or Air National Guard is restricted to the grades of E-6 and below with less than 12 years of Total Federal Military Service.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of equipment and practices associated with the type of work to be done.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have experience or training equivalent to the next lower level, in performing a full variety of Air Transportation functions necessary to manage the day-to-day Air Transportation and small air terminal operations including but not limited to, rigging responsibilities, wing deployment training, passenger and cargo manifesting, Joint Inspection, load planning, determining cargo/passenger eligibility, establishing and maintaining air terminal security, directly responsible for safe and efficient loading/offloading of all DOD-owned and controlled aircraft and ensuring ITV.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work assignments require moderate to heavy physical effort. Employees frequently lift, carry, push, or otherwise handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently handles items weighing more than 50 pounds, but assistance is usually available with heavy items. Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping is required. Climbing and working in high places is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside in a well-lighted, heated, and ventilated area, and outside during normal as well as inclement weather conditions. Incumbent may be subject to hazards from toxic fumes, high-pressure air, and high noise levels.
