All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/03/2025-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience.
To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
- SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Performing hydrological technician duties of field data collection, installing and maintaining hydrological equipment, collecting water quantity data and quality samples using standard field equipment and data loggers, processing and shipping water quality samples for lab analysis, conducting lab analysis (e.g. E.coli) on-site, transferring and analyzing data from field logging and spot-measuring equipment, and operating a range of field vehicles from trucks to boats. You must include hours per week worked on your resume .
- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the position. You must include transcripts in your application .
- COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of education and experience. For example, I have 6 months of specialized experience (50% of the experience requirements for this position and grade level) combined with 6 months (9 semester hours) of graduate education, as outlined above (50% of the education required to qualify), directly related to this position. Examples of directly related education are engineering, earth, physical, or natural science, forestry, soil conservation, surveying, and/or hydrology. Y ou must include transcripts and hours worked per week in your resume.
ICTAP/CTAP Statement: Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection.
