Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below.This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Disassembling components; repair/replace parts; tuning engines; adjust brakes; adjust ignition/injector timing and linkages; accomplish periodic inspections and maintenance on a variety of powered and non-powered aircraft ground support equipment (GSE), (AGE); 2) Demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to use common hand/power tools and principles of electricity (AC/DC); 3) Utilizing and following technical manuals, directives and verbal instructions; 4) Assisting Journey-level mechanics in more complex tasks to include: disassembling engines, repairing or replacing various parts such as valves, bearings, carburetors and fuel injection components, ignition system components, clutches, gaskets, couplings, reduction gears, etc. and reassembling as required to effect complete repairs.
