- 1) Coordinating the administrative functions of training delivery programs using Instructional Systems Design principles.; 2) Providing technical guidance or troubleshooting for training related issues related to e-learning and learning management systems.; 3) Reviewing class administration tasks such as preparing classroom materials, coordinating schedules and monitoring student conduct.; 4) Supporting curriculum review processes.
Specialized Experience for the GS-08: You qualify for the GS-08 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, or pay band in the Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private sector or public sector performing the following duties:
- 1) Assisting with the administrative functions of training delivery programs using Instructional Systems Design principles; 2) Facilitating with training related issues related to e-learning and learning management systems.; 3) Reviewing class administration tasks such as preparing classroom materials.

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.

Pursuant to Executive Order 12564 and FLETC policy, FLETC is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace and, therefore, conducts random and other drug testing of its employees in order to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Headquarters personnel in safety- or security-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing and all applicants tentatively selected for employment at FLETC are subject to drug testing resulting in a negative test result.
Re-employed annuitants' annual salaries will be reduced by the amount of their retirement annuity and by further cost of living increases. FERS retirees receiving a FERS annuity supplement must also be aware that, like social security benefits, their FERS annuity supplement is subject to an earnings test and may be reduced if the salary earned is more than the social security exempt amount of earnings. Physical Demands: The work is basically sedentary and does require some walking up and down stairs and driving to various training venues. Position must be capable of carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds, must be capable of standing up to three hours, and must possess a valid vehicle driver's license.
Work Environment: The work is performed mostly indoors in an office or classroom setting at a FLETC training delivery point. On occasion, the position will be required to meet students or others outdoors to resolve training- related issues. This involves everyday risks or discomforts, which require routine safety precautions in such places as law enforcement practical exercise areas or during adverse weather conditions.
