About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Center on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.This a Regular Full-Time position. Regular Full-Time employees have a regular and continuous work schedule of at least 35 hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You are eligible for the following benefits and compensation: Health and Life Insurance, Retirement, 401K, Shift Differential, Sunday Premium Pay, Holiday Pay.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of outboard boat motors and gasoline motor malfunctions. This experience must have provided a thorough knowledge of and the ability to test and troubleshoot components and systems to locate marine equipment defects; interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals; operate electronic test equipment. Experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul snow machines, travel trailers, ATVs and motor vehicles is preferred. Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and with assistance, objects up to and over 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently stand, bend, stoop, crawl, and work in tight spaces for long periods of time.
