You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering and Planning Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD, working directly for the Chief Engineer, Code 240.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience providing technical/engineering guidance and advice in detail for complex maintenance, repair, construction, and overhaul of a variety of naval vessel classes of conventional and nuclear ships.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents for complex nuclear and non-nuclear ship class systems and alterations.
- Experience and technical knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and structural systems/components and extensive practical knowledge of such systems and equipment with regard to their installation, operation, and interface with other systems.
- Experience executing complex administrative, technical and/or professional work, which directly and substantially affects the successful execution of a project
- Experience defining problems and developing the best approach to the planning of projects.
