This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, position description D0097000, within the 177th MXS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.
This technician position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, entidetonant (ADI), and inflight refueling systems.
Requirements:
General Experience:Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work.
Specialized Experience:
Must at least 18 months of specialized experience which demonstrates basic electrical and mechanical principles.
- Fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines
- Servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing, and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnosing trouble and determining remedies
- Mechanic repairs using hand tools and test equipment
- Demonstrating the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications
